What to do now? Titan Question.

@kaap

I'm not familiar with the heaven bench, but would the ~800mhz loss on the 4930k (290x) @1600p run make a lot of difference? (4.8 @1080 vs 4 @1600)

@1600p it does not make a huge difference, when I did the run on the 290Xs I was just testing out the cards but thought afterwards that I may as well post the score. If I had run the 4930k @4.8 I may have scored about another 50 points or so but not enough to get near the Titans.

@1080p it is a different story and the CPU is a massive bottleneck, the 290Xs are less powerful than the Titans but work more efficiently when approaching a CPU bottleneck on Heaven 4. This is why they can pass the Titans 4 up @1080p.

If I was using LN2 cooling just for the CPU @1080p I would be looking to score about 6400 on the Titans and about 6100 on the 290Xs.

@~Dockie

We aim to please

Here is one I have just done @1600p

4930k @4.8

4 x 290Xs @1210/1625 - slightly higher clocks than in the Heaven 4 Table posted above.

Basically, I think it's best to just get another Titan - less hassle, less arguments etc etc, as we can see 2x290x's would have similar performance at what would be to you, a higher cost, so I'd go for another used Titan.

Another thing that does not get mentioned is the Titans are very reliable and have almost zero failure rates in normal use.
