You seem to have an agenda with your threads.

I guess you really want cannabis to be legalised.
For me I can't abide even the smell of the stuff, it gives me massive headaches. So from my point of view I hope it's not legalised.

But it can do massive amounts of good

Just because you don't like it you don't want other people to be able to harness its useful properties?

Had a really bad do with sciatica a few years ago, I was prescribed Gabapentin and Pregabalin.
Both of which are powerful neural drugs.

I didn't like either so I tried cannabis.

Whilst it brought relief to my symptoms it also increased my level of anxiety and brought on severe panic attacks.

Out of the 3 drugs mentioned above, I wouldn't really want to take any of them and I feel for the people who are in so much pain that they have no other option.

I was unable to find that mellow smoke that was once available years ago, maybe todays strains are too strong?

Whilst the pain relief was pleasant the anxiety wasn't - not recommended.

In that case Alcohol should be banned. It makes me do regrettable and stupid stuff I would not normally do.

But no, you keep smelling cannabis and I'll keep drinking alcohol. :p

If you suffer from enough pain as I do and have done for several years, you will be interested in something besides the normal meds handed out to you. I have had cancer and a stroke, plus RA and yes I want it badly.

There was a special done by CNN - "Sanjay Gupta Reports" on how cannabis can help people with various conditions and illnesses.

I would definitely recommend you guys watch it if possible, its quite a thought provoking and also touching piece of film.

Lets be honest here - the main reason its not legal is because the pharmaceutical companies would lose money and they are extrememly powerful entities!

So how would it's use in medical form, such as a liquid spray as mentioned in the article affect you?

I don't see a problem with old people growing a plant for their own use, so long as the pong was controlled.
Currently it is being grown on an industrial scale for profit, applying the same law to both examples doesn't help anybody.

I'm sure I read teenage use was falling? Maybe they are more likely to pop a pill instead

Religion gives me a massive headache and I hate the smell of churches, from my point of view I hope it's banned.

"Weed is bad now shut up and let me finish my gin you filthy peasant" - Pretty much the outcome.

I'm actively against the legalization of pot to be honest in terms of everyday users, I think it'll just get more expensive if it's legal, you know what it's like - first it's great, then they add tonnes of tax and mandate ridiculous conditions which cut the market off from all but big investors. Next the market is monopolised and suddenly there's a big hunk of cash to hunt down illegal growers and arrest them, cutting off the cheaper illicit supply.

Government gets theirs, private sector gets theirs. We get nothing.

I see no real need to legalise it for everyday folk, it's plenty cheap - I haven't seen a price rise in years. The quality is good and it's hardly policed for anyone buying small quantities - if caught you'll simply have it confiscated. I was never a huge fan of it but you know, on occasion (In a country where it is legal). Some guys love it though, and why not.

I know a couple of people who use it medicinally without the doctors express orders, but simply implied suggestion. So grass on prescription, I think it's a great idea. But I wouldn't want to see it legalised for the masses.

:D

I don't want anyone to benefit because it gives me nasty headaches :( boohoo.

Do you frequent many Christian bong parties?

I would love to see it legalised but I think it should have the same restrictions as smoking. Some people may find it unpleasant, whether it is the smoke or smell. Users should respect this as anyone would respect anyone that drinks or smokes.

I cba to cite sources but in america legalization has been successful to a point.

Drug dealers are making less money but are still in fact making it. The reason? People don't want to be recorded as having used it so they prefer the anonymous route, this and legal cannabis being expensive compared to the illegal method are the biggest reasons drug dealers are still carrying cannbis.
Despite this the legal stores are making SHEDLOADS of money.

Scientists are working on a way to reap the benefits of cannabis without the high, I smoke it for the high :(

It's only legal in a few states though isn't it, so there are bound to be dealers still making money on it?
