The Titanfall BETA has insane VRAM requirements!!

Well with the Beta out and they hear players views they might change one or two things.

But enjoyed playing it on the whole, makes a change not to lag and quite smooth, looking forward to the game being released.

Seems the games locked to 60 FPS. At least for me.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
23510, 393125, 42, 62, 59.803

1440P with CSAA (less intensive MSAA rivals 4X) @ 8X VRAM usage again stuck to just under 3GB for the most part.

It is indeed locked, I can't see anything in the user config files to change this either!

Keep an eye on vram usage on the first loading screen, you can see it start to build up the cache @ around 50mb/s :D

I disabled SLi so have no VRAM figure (craps out in Precision unless you reload it) but assuming it's obviously the same and caching just over 3GB available.

Quick round @ 1440P and 8x MSAA 1x 780Ti

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
15090, 253766, 38, 61, 59.464

Got a bit hectic with some Titans blowing up with that minimum, but as you can see no VRAM limitation at 1440P and insane settings

I find the best tactic is NOT to board your titan, let it be on auto. It can be used to draw fire, and in the meanwhile, destroy the enemy titans or players on foot.

Of course, in "Last titan standing" it is a bad idea, but on the other modes I just use the follow mode most of the time, and capture the hardpoints myself. I only board it once the enemy tries to escape, to destroy the dropship.

I do agree the game needs more than 6v6, OR tons better AI. The AI players are just.. stupid at the moment. The player melee damage is too high as well, 1 jumpkick and everyone dies. Combine that with the usual multiplayer lag and it means that going into melee range is instant death or kill depending on luck.

BF4 has become a bit rubbish and repetitive, every map everywhere you go all you hear is crack....crack...crack...crack from the 13 Snipers and DMR firing at you from long range at any given time, and its a constant.

This game looks much more interesting, i'm pretty bored with Sniperfield now.

Lol sounds like you cant do as well with melee as others :p

Nah, since both of you actually oneshot each other it depends very much on latency instead of skill, there is no "melee fighting"; it's just a one shot one kill where you keep hammering the damn button till you hit (as you can do it while shooting).
