I love the way they even went to the extent of giving him a smoking trail when he walks infront of the car. Would have been easier to not do that, but somehow they "infused" him with smoke somehow to imply he's still melting

Yea that was one messed up scene, the directors version that goes on a few seconds longer is still very gross viewing, I still find that hard to watch.
Very true, very powerful scene even after all this time.

It's bad.
There's nothing wrong with the original so I don't get a reboot (which this is iirc?) why fix what isn't broken?
Hollywood is so lazy these days.

Watched the remastered again last night, you can actually see Robocop's plastic/rubber bits in this version but it's still amazing Ed209 looks plastic hehe.
The dialogue and way it's done though throughout is amazing though.

That's something I noticed in his suit, you can see the flaws more on the remastered br. Still an awesome film though!
To think I was only 9 when I watched it for the first time.

saw the remake over the weekend
It was DIRE! There's not many films I think about switching off halfway through.
Just didn't make any connection with any of the characters. Didn't like Alex Murphy, hated Samuel L. Jackson, didn't care about the wife or kid, thought Lewis was an idiot (and shouldn't he have been a she).
Honestly, I was expecting him to drive over to New York and start fighting aliens...I mean that's what happens in most american movies these days isn't it
3/10 ..... and to be honest, that's high praise.
