EVGA SuperNOVA NEX750B 80+ Bronze

list you pc spec man :)

currently in the middle of buying parts but should look something like

i5 4670k
gigabyte z87x-oc
16gb teamgroup vulcan ram ( sure thats the correct name 2400mhz )
2 x 280x gfx cards
plus a waterloop for cpu and gfx cards.

couple of harddrives plus 11 case fans

been advised 750w psu enough but never heard much about evga psus before and obv want something thats a good build and last

I wouldn't buy one. The only ones worth buying are the 1000w and 1300w units built by Superflower. The others have recieved mediocre reviews and there are far better psu's available. The 430w to 600w units are built by HEC and the 650w to 750w units are built by FSP.

FSP can be hit or miss. Some units are very good but others have had problems with high ripple.

How is fsp as a make. I've noticed o few of them on auction sites but they seem quite pricey

I honestly don't know how they compare to the likes of Superflower, Seasonic and Delta etc.

They do make a lot of psu's for BeQuiet though, including some of the Dark Power Pro range. They all get good reviews.

If the power supply is virtually new, you are getting it for less than half price, as they are £95 on OCUK.

Its from a friend and was in his pc for a total of 2 days. Then he had a big win at the bookies and bought a 2nd 290x and a 1250w xfx psu that's why I was offered cheap. If I don't take it he is sending it back for a refund. Although after some of the comments above I don't think it would be a good deal tho.

Also what's this high ripple mentioned above

I have the gold modular version of that PSU and its working great for last 2 years, but that's gold rated. No idea how this one would work.
