Spot the sniper

I remember when I did my concealment training, they got five of the lads to lay down in some grass about 10 meters from us. We then had to turn around and spot them. It was genuinely very difficult to spot them, even when right under your nose. When it was my turn, I just remained as still as I could and no one saw me. It was a real eye-opener.

I spotted most of them..

But then I KNEW there was a sniper in the picture, So was looking for him.

If you didn't know he was there somewhere you'd be dead.

When I was 8 or 9 (I was a squaddie's kid) we were living in Hong Kong and open day was held for the kids, we were all taken up into the Jungle. In one of the events we were taken in small groups into a clearing and told we were surrounded by Ghurkhas and had 1 minute to spot as many as we could, needless to say we didn't spot a single one in that time and when they were told to stand up there were 12 of them, the nearest one was 5 feet from me the furthest was no more than 10 yards, scared the excrement out of us
