Blood in snow looks bad!

You need to work on your piste awareness levels also that was a pretty pitiful wipeout to result in a broken nose. My most spectacular has to be hooning it down to a nice roller getting some air off of that then accidentally landing on another roller I was unaware of at the time causing a angle change and a bit more air then face-planting, the distance between where I hit the snow and eventually stopped was about 10 meters with a nice trail of ski's, poles, a bandanna and my Oakley's leading to the pile that was then me no serious injuries but due to it being one of those days where you could go out in a t-shirt my arms and face were somewhat bloodied by the experience.

When I was 9 I was at the park with my dad. I decided to be clever and jump of the spinning roundabout.

As I jumped I must have slipped as my foot went under the spinning roundabout where my shoe was removed from my foot and one of the bolts holding the metal bar in place took a chunk out of my ankle the size of a 50p piece.

POIDH

oh and some GoPro footage please :D

Bloody hell - I got more blood cutting my finger - Now real blood is turning up at A&E at 4.00 in morning with washing up bowl under your chin and half roll of blue industrial towel in there from a nose bleed. - The Doc (witch doctor) hadn't a clue what to do so booked me a bed at another hospital - fortunately it stopped at 6.30 so he sent me home - daft sod tried to put a blow up tube up my nose which made me cough and covered the front of his shirt in blood.:D:D

I have been lucky this far in my life worst injury that happened to me was falling of my bike and on to a beer bottle cap as a kid little bit of blood but carried on playing.

Frustratingly my own kids think they will die of blood loss even from paper cut if someone does not apply a plaster instantly

I play 'pretend to be the postman' with my dog when I get home unusually early.

It went horribly wrong. My dog bit all the way through my nail.

Won't be playing that game again.

I'm 30 and have never broken a bone .

EDIT: Actually, i think i have broken a rib once, but I never got it seen to as i read online they just give you painkillers and cba waiting all night in A&E.

Worst injury was also embarrassingly boring.
Broke three metatarsals, running up stairs!
Hit the top step and heard a very loud crack.
Cue much swearing.
No actual blood but a lovely bruise came out after two days.

6 weeks in cast and crutches.

I literally have no idea how you've hit your nose on his pole!. And yeah, learn to turn ;)

I did my medial ligaments last year, at literally the highest point in Val Thorens. Had to get taken off the mountain, and got claustrophobic in the snow ambulance. I ended up making them put the hood down!

I've had some horrific injuries but then I have done 13 ski seasons so I would expect to have totted up the odd stack ;)

By far the worst was when I was paralysed from the neck down for nearly two days, helicoptered off the mountain straight to moutiers hospital, severely compressed spinal cord...wasn't a season ender but I didn't ski again for a couple of weeks

last season I broke my hip, punctured my lung and broke 3/4 ribs...

And I'm supposed to be the qualified ski instructor :p

On the bright side, there's plenty of available ice to pack on your nose to reduce the swelling :p

Fell onto a large triangular piece of glass from a broken bottle, 2" deep cut in my knee. Blood flowing down my shin like a waterfall :(
