US: Black Sails - STARZ's new original series, with pirates!

The intro sequence is probably the best bit, actually.

John Silver...he's so bad. It's like he's trying to play Jack Sparrow, but with all the charisma and dramatic flair of Orlando Bloom.

I also hate that woman with the hat.

Same, Spartacus was slow to start so I'm also hoping this will play similar.
 
This a bit like a poor man's Game of Thrones only nowhere near as good. A bit of swearing, nudity, poor acting and dodgy CGI does not make a programme any good that's trying to be another GoT.

If you are looking for a good, gritty programme, try True Detective.

I got halfway through 104 last night and realised that I hadn't got a clue what was happening or what happened in the previous 3 because it's that bad.
I'm not bothering with it.
 
While some shows take time to develop and grow on you this series is very confusing perhaps through sheer boredom and far too many characters.

Still no clue what is going on the only time I paid attention was when boobs turned up.
 
Ill give this show another 1-2 more attempts.... only those girls are giving it a second chance otherwise a bit confusing series with the vast amount of characters and premise.
 
The ship battles made me watch it... peeked my interest at least, but I doubt they can do this each episode.... it seems more of a politics and real thought out long plot to be spanned over 2-3 seasons.

Still at least with spartacus they really nailed it down properly.... blood and action followed by young and then milf action, all mixed together per episode.
