*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

Will 100% be picking up a Wii-U on the 30th May - the day Mario Kart comes out and it's my Birthday, it's just fate!

I'm playing through a few Zelda's though at the moment to keep me occupied.
I've got about an 3 hours left of Phantom Hourglass to play and then I'm going to move on to Spirit Tracks.
Then finish up with Skyward Sword.

Got Wind Waker the other day and OMG it looks pretty!

Had it on the GC but never got past the Fortress as I kept getting caught and I got fed up with it but thought I'd give it another go.

Enjoying it very much at the moment and as I said, it looks great!

DK:TF is getting higher scores than I expected it would, roll on Friday :D.
p.s. The leader board feature looks great!.

They would never get Bayonetta to run on Wii in its original form! The gulf between 360 and Wii hardware is just too large to make an easy port, I imagine it'd have to be pretty much a whole remake.

Yep

Fans have been campaigning via MiiVerse/Twitter/Petitons for a WiiU version of Bayo 1 though. I doubt it will happen but I'd certainly purchase it at the right price.

I've just added Sin and Punishment (Wii) [...]

Good choice! :D

Agreed, I totally expected a load of 6's because of the traditional format and lack of gamepad integration (neither of which bother me in the slightest).

Turns out its yet another cracking title.

Imo the Wii U is a better proposition than the XBOne atm, shame the sales figures don't agree.

Fortunately my kids are all Rayman'd up so I'll be able to keep DKTF for myself too. That said - DKTF isn't a particularly easy game by the sounds of it, it's not something kids are going to get on with - unlike say NSMBU which my 4 year old girl can play in her sleep.

Can't believe anyone genuinely thought it would score badly everywhere...DK:CR was absolutely phenomenal on the Wii and this will be more of the same...yet refined and going that extra mile on Wii U! Just what I want :D

Thank god MarioKart isn't out till May - I'm struggling to keep up - still got 3 triforce pieces to find on WWHD, not even touched Rayman, and only on the fire World level on Mario 3D World with about 80 stars.

^ It's another strong addition to the U's library though, which is what many consider when purchasing a console. It won't boost console sales a great deal but may convince a handful on the fence.

DKTF was always going to get 'good' review scores. It looks like Retro managed to keep things fresh, which was my concern and something I thought reviewers would nitpick on a bit more.
DKC:Returns is one of the best platformers of last gen - spent many hours going for 100% in that game, will likely end up doing the same in Freeze. :o

I said the very same thing in this thread - the Wii U is a better proposition than the xb1 right now.

Some really uba titles out there for new owners to get stuck into. Enjoy :)

Lol, 34 - you're like only just out of nappies. ;)

I also finally took the plunge. Got it from the rainforest retailer for £189.99 brand new with 3 games + 2 additional wii u remote controllers.

Could sell the extras if I wanted and end up with the wii u for around £125. Lol. But I will likely keep them as they will come in handy for when friends come down :D

I think I'm going to admit defeat and cave in and buy Wii u next month as its my birthday : ) could you please link the bundle you brought TNA? I only managed to find the Basic Just Dance & Wii Party U Pack : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wi...?ie=UTF8&qid=1392774121&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+u
