Hi all are these going to be any better than the previous batch of titans if they are will they match a 780ti? Or be slightly better

If your just gaming with them think of them as a 6GB TI
there a full gk110 rather than cut down like the orginal titan is

Close to nil difference with the extra vram then.

It is based on the original titan in that it has full double precision performance, plus the full amount of cuda cores, if you are just gaming I would look at 780.

For 98% of the games out there at 1440p 3GB is enough , imo not likely to see any other ti get 6GB as it would eat into the new black sales
allowed 2% for future games and stuff i dont know about :)

Well even at 1440p it will depend on the game. Some will need more than 3vram in the future and a few current titles.

If you have money to burn then fine, but the titan is more aim as a bridge between professional quadro cards and normal GPUs than the average gamer.

You might be better served by waiting for the details of the 790, which is basically two 780s on the same card.

I use three Tis in SLI at 1440P and try as I might with all sorts of AA applied I cannot get games to run out of VRAM

This, everything I throw at the cards and roughly 2GB is the max i've seen used. Thats with forced SMAA/SGSSAA , down-sampling and texture packs on some games.

I have read the reviews and it's just a cheaper alternative to Tesla.
For gaming you can go for 780ti and you won't see the difference, at least not one worth paying extra 200-300£.
