BMW Options / Packs

Is there a definitive guide to what each of the option packs comes with other than the car configurator?

In other words, I guess I'm asking what options would be left that weren't included in one of the option packs.

Download the catalogue from the web site or pop in to a dealer and get one?

I'm sure you can find them online for models that are no longer in production.

Well, oddly, playing around on the car configurator, I seem to be able to spec a car cheaper by selecting the options I want individually rather than as a pack.

This is probably because the packs tend to also bundle in stuff you probably don't want and wouldn't spec.
