Very Low FPS on Sapphire R290 Tri-X :(

Seems fine to me 1200p plus 8x AA and extreme tess is very demanding.
Maybe try going into ocuk heaven thread and use the settings from there and compare.
 
Ok so the ocuk heaven thread does the benchmark runinung at 1090p. I'll try that setting tommorow morning see what i get. Cheers buddy !
 
I have the sapphire Tri x and the super flower 650 w psu, running my 4770k oc to 4.3, I will do a heaven test and see what kind if benchmarks I get tomorrow
 
To be honest , that score looks fine for your setup at all stock. Does it drop the fps to 10 / 20 on all games, judging by Heaven and your afterburner screenshot, everything looks as it should so maybe its certain games or a game that the drivers dont like.
 
So I ran Heaven again this time with the settings on the OC UK Heaven thread i.e 1920x1080, 8xAA, Quality Ultra and tessellation Extreme in full screen.

Does this look right for Sapphire R290 Tri-X at stock speeds and CPU at stock. ?

I haven't had a chance to play any games yet but will be running BF4 later on today and see how the fps goes.

Comparing it to these it seems about right

Score 1359, GPU 290P @1100/1400, CPU 8350 @4.0, OvEr_KiLL
Score 1355, GPU 290P @1100/1300, CPU 4670k @4.0, Defconluke
Score 1350, GPU 290X @1000/1250, CPU 3770k @3.9, Geeman1979
Score 1348, GPU 290P @1115/1350, CPU 2500k @4.4, Vegeta
Score 1325, GPU 290X @1000/1250, CPU 4960X @4.5, MjFrosty
Score 1324, GPU 290X @1000/1250, CPU 4770k @4.5, VincentHanna

yeah I was going through the scores on the heaven benchmark thread and came up with the same conclusion. Thanks for confirming this :)

Should be firing up some games this evening, bf4/far cry 3 , gonna see how the card handles everything on ultra.

Hello I did the test and here's my results on my system.

Windows 7
I7 4770k @ 3.50GHz
1920x1080 8xAA full screen
ULTRA
EXTREME

FPS: 52.0
SCORE: 1311
MIN FPS: 25.6
MAX FPS: 106.8

So looks like there's nothing wrong with your card
 
Mine R290 scored as follows

CPU @ 4.6, card at default

fps 52.9
score 1333
min26.8
max107.1

LOUD on a powercolor PCS +
