Hello
Looking to buy a mech keyboard up from my quite tatty Microsoft x4, I had decided on the red switches as they are the best ones for gaming and are not too loud.

Not sure about the shine or the osmium though as they both seem well made and featured.

Thanks

I use the osmium at work and the ducky at home the ducky wins imo although the volume and lighting dials are a nice touch on the Gigabyte.

Both very well made ducky probably just tips the scales on design and finish. Both have a sturdy feel.

Gigabyte does have a USB3 port and headphone jacks on it which is a big bonus

So style over substance is your choice.

For me the ducky wins out as my set up at home doesn't require those additional features.

I too have both... Both are really good.

One thing to note (and it might just be from mine and my friends experiences, 3 of the gigabyte keyboards have had problems. I RMA'd one for instance, it just stopped working one day. The other 2 people I know who have had them had the leds on them go temperamental and the other had dodgy switches.

All our RMA replacements have been fine though, so I guess they were early batches?

those usb ports would be quite handy and i actually wouldn't mind them plug things in, but they look like they are coming out on the right hand side and my mouse is pretty much next to the keyboard so i won't be able to use them

An I right then if I go ahead with the ducky? Is there any better keyboards for the price (of the shine 3)?

Ah these replies have made me want to swap out my Osmium for a Ducky Shine 3 now, my brother said he'd buy my Osmium. I do like the wrist rest on my Osmium a lot though.

I've been a Ducky Shine III convert from the beginning of January.
Certainly the best keyboard I've ever owned.
I'm a brown switch user - gaming and regular typing are excellent.
White LED's for me.

Seem to currently be having a problem with my Ducky 3, being told i need a Power usb hub.

Just saying, in case the LED's cause a problem with the keyboard, and you decide on it.

Just ordered the full ducky red switches green LEDs :D

Yeah I saw your thread earlier hopefully mine will run ok, I hope it's not an issue with sabertooths USB ports

you wont be disappointed with the DS3. I got one with blue MX and blue LED and wow, really pleased with it. Its so loud too - love it :D

enjoy your new keyb and dont forget to update the firmware when you get it

Did i mention the shine 3 comes with a plastic cover? Best thing ever! keeps the dust away when your away. Best thing ever!
