From what i remember in the past you have always had the Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler, ive been looking at the Be Quiet 140mm fans as ive been considering changing some of the fans in my PC for quieter ones.

I accidentally came across a thread on Overclock.net when searching for some info on the Be Quiet 140mm silent wings 2 fans and the Dark Rock pro 2 cooler which had a post by you and your profile pic has a photo of the Dark Rock Pro 2 cooler.

Couple of questions for you.

1. Is their a way of mounting the Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 PWM 140mm fans onto the Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler ?

2. How do you rate the PH-TC14PE against the Dark Rock Pro 2 ?

The reason i ask is that the most noise that comes from my case is from the Phanteks PH-F140TS fans on the PH-TC14PE cooler, i was seeing if i could make things a bit quieter hence the Be Quiet fans or cooler.

Why not run the fans at a lower speed? Either by resistors or by use of a fan controller. Much cheaper option than purchasing a new cooler. If the current fans are not own then get hold of some.

Akasa piranhas are excellent 120mm fans which have pwm

Very interesting. I don't have a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2. Are you sure it's not a Cryorig R1 Ultimate? Cus that's what my avatar is.

As for TC14PE, I didn't use the F140TS very long. Switched to TY-140, than TY-143 and finally to TY-147 on new black TC14PE.

As said above, you should be able to regulate the fan speed so it's quiet unless CPU is running 100% load.

Yeh it will be that one, i only had a quick look and just presumed it was the Dark Rock 2 as you were talking about Be quiet products at the time.

How does that Cryorig R1 Ultimate compare to the Phanteks PH-TC14PE ?

Have to say that Cryorig looks very good, one of the other probs with the PH-TC14PE is their is very little choice in ram that will fit under it, the Cryorig seems to have better clearance which will allow ram like Avexir etc.
