Eating and drinking in Buxton Derbyshire

Short answer. NONE!

We went to Buxton for a friends wedding and it just felt like we were in gods waiting room! I recall one bar being decent but I forgot the name. It was on the edge of the park though and I think it did some food.

I'm not kidding (and I hope I'm not offending anyone!)

Our B&B was terrible to. It had a lovely location overlooking the pond/lake thing in the middle but the whole town just seems aimed at people over 70 ( which I don't think you or Mr SB are).

There's a great sweet shop on the Main Street though!

Actually sounds right up are street and were 27 and 35 respectively hehe :D:D:D:D

Depends for your reasons for going really. We went for a wedding but certainly won't rush back in a hurry.

There must be better places. How about Holmfirth? Maybe checkout the vineyard?

Jaipur is totes pro. One of my favourite beers (have you guys tried making a jaipur clone? So good).

To be honest the times I've been to Buxton I've not seen any really awesome pubs. I've only been once or twice in recent years though, and on cycle rides, so our main concern was food rather than alcohol.
