I'd imagine the length of the Chernobyl bit was limited by how long the BBC health and safety board would let them stay inside the zone to film it. Can't really see them signing off a weeks worth of filming on location to fill an hours episode really...

Apparently this series' special is coming from Burma. According to Amazon who've got the DVD and Blu-ray details for a Top Gear Burma special for June 2nd.

That river monsters guy did 3 days fishing there. It's probably not that bad in most parts.

Wow Jeremy's Touring segment was jaw dropping. The moment I heard that exhaust note I knew it had to be a Maserati and oh look it's the engine from a GranTurismo (my dream car). Love it. Also loved the new camera angle view from the bonnet through the windshield, gives a new dimension. Cinematography just keeps getting better and better every episode.

Watching that segment through my pc speakers and it was heavenly. Definitely going to re watch it again tomorrow for the noise.
