Sad to hear this. He never seemed to get the credit he deserved as an actor and writer. Awesomely talented fella and very sad he has passed away.

Stripes remains one of the most underrated comedy films ever written. Hard to believe it's 33 years since it was released.

While a sad thing and while I loved some of his films, he lived to a fairly decent age having achieved a hell of a lot in his life. 69 is a decent age to live to and(for many people) before life often gets a bit crap. Might watch Groundhog day in his honour tonight.

Ever the comedic writer, he died at an age that provides a built in joke for his eulogy, well played sir, well played.
