Just checked on Steam, apparently it will unlock for the EU today :)

I have not bought it as I can't find any reviews and I'm scared they have removed the story and the sense of adventure that the first had :(

I loved it for it's level variety. And I can't help but feel this one has one level, a city. That's it.

Most of the reviews been very positive from(one Brazilian site gave it 95/100) what i saw from foreign sites except two that rated it average but then again they rated some other good games bad scores so i paid no attention to those sites.

Seems it's like the first but with more stuff and they rendered the cutscenes in real time i heard so it doesn't take up as much hd space either incase people wonder why part 1 was much larger size.

Edit: seen some more reviews now it's looking very mixed....PCgamer gave it 4.4?!?! IGN gave it 6.5, Joystiq 8/10, Gamespot 7/10, CVG 8/10.

I can't find any reviews

It's pretty much a mixed bag from what I've seen.

Gametrailers - 8.3
CVG - 8
Jeuxvideo - 8
Gamereactor UK - 8
IGN Germany - 7
EGM - 7
Gamesradar - 6
Videogamer - 6
Eurogamer - 5
Edge - 4
PC Gamer - 4.4

Well if it's anything like the first game in regards to splitting opinions of reviewers, then I'll probably enjoy it.

I am worried about what I've heard though. Bland modern environments with enforced linear stealth missions? Also heard that there's some really poor decisions in regard to forcing Dracula into stealth. Like have a simple copy-paste, no name guard stopping Dracula from passing into an area simply because the game says "He's too powerful for you to defeat" but then you go on to defeat the "powerful" area boss, and then you once again can't get past a guard?

Hopefully the worries are unfounded, I'll wait until I've completed it before deciding whether its good or not.

Eurogamer review of this is awful bah
I lost some respect for Eurogamer from that review, not because of their verdict of the game, but because the reviewer decided to try and jump on the controversy bandwagon by trying to link rape and sexuality to that one scene in the game (I've seen it on Youtube and its laughable) whereas 99% of all other reviews have said it's nothing, just the same as every vampire film, book, play etc throughout history.

It's needless controversy to try and grab some peak viewing numbers for his review, nothing else.

So far what I red about the game is not worth my money for day one purchase, but I will pick it up later in steam sale. Easter I assume.
I'm a bit disappointed with lack of environments variety(modern city) and stealth bull ****.
All I wanted is LOS with better graphic:(

Just played the first two hours and its quite impressive. Its very "god of war" but with far harder block mechanics and a very unforgiving damage system if you fail to block or dodge against large opponents. So far I'm more confused with were to go compared to how difficult the combat is. However, its well made with a decent storyline and has some good actors that have contributed to it.

Some gameplay footage from me
Looks good to me cannot wait for my retail copy to turn up on Friday. Only 1 disc this time as all the movie scenes use the game engine & are not pre-rendered into bink this time (why its about 6GB smaller than the first game as that included over 8GB of Bink cutscenes so the actual game size is slightly larger than the first game).

I presume its easily running @ 60FPS in your video looking at the footage.

Aye never moved from 60 which is what's my adaptive vsync is set to. I was actually playing at 1440p but shadowplay only records upto 1080. It's so smooth though even with shadowplay running, although I do have a fair by of gpu grunt available lol. Very interesting game though with some nice mechanics. The castle and modern world can be swapped between by a shadow gateway thing that you activate by using an amulet. The old castle is filled with enemies and the blood that spawns them often follows you back to the modern world. It's an interesting concept and quite well done. The map is next to useless though, making finding some of the objectives harder than they first appear!

Yeah getting lost a little here and there. But it looks and plays very well after the first couple hours. Had a CTD with one boss final hit to FMV but on restart it just loaded the FMV and went on from there so no tears. Lush looking bits when it opens out into area's so no complaints here and smooth as anything.

Playing with Xbox wireless controlled and running it on a 680ti 2560 x 1600.
