Ok..

I currently work In a phone repair shop, run the place on me own blah blah don't like it tbh as it's got zero prospects.

A job has come up at my sister in laws school, IT Technician.
Now its pay is virtually identical to what I'm on now, although I would need to drive 25 miles there and back.
It's less hours, only term time so I get to spend the summer with the wife (teacher).
Fuel is around £4.50 per day but I spend that on taxi to current work allready.

It has more job prospects, I have wanted to work in a school for along while and one day become a teacher.

so would you do it?

Yes,
you would be helping train the next generation of MI5 hackers, as the little scroats try to crack your network security 24/7

Consider it your patriotic duty

No brainer. It will be much more rewarding, the time off offsets the travelling, better prospects and you will mix with more interesting people too I should imagine.

You seem to have convinced yourself already tbh.

Given the facts presented, it's a definite.

Working in a school is great, you will get the occasional "i know everything about IT let me balls up your network for you" teacher, but there is always the prospect of "levelling up" I started working as a school tech at 18 doing an apprentiship, now I work in a managed IT service(moved via TUPE) as the equivelent of a Network Manager.
Knowing what your doing is actually benefiting kids future is much better than knowing what your doing is making some big wigs mega bucks
