UEFA Champions League/Europa League 25/26/27 February *** Spoilers ***

Wow, talking about a waste of space...RvP's touches tonight

A strikers touches are really nothing to base anything on. The service to the strikers today was less than crap. Most of the balls to our attackers came from Ferdinand and Smalling so what do you expect. RvP isn't the issue.

It's the difference between Rooney and Van Persie. If things aren't going our way then Rooney will drop deeper and try and help out, he'll try and drag the team back into it. RvP will quite happily sit up top and just wit for the game to end. Couple that with the disastrous 'shot' at the end and he was pitiful tonight.

I know what you mean but with the performance tonight the only thing that was going to save us was a random goal out of nowhere probably with a lot of luck. Pulling both Rooney and RvP back would have done more harm than good.

Carrick doesn't even seem like he really cares.

Carrick looks totally drained of confidence. The players have had it. Bizarre.

Keane disgusted by it all and rightly so.

When Rooney went into midfield tonight he was dreadful. Tracked no runs and repeatedly gave the ball away. If RvP did the same who would go up front?

RvP was not the cause of the problem tonight, he must have received about 3 passes to feet in 90 minutes.

I didn't say move into midfield. I said move, he is just static up front.

RvP isn't a highly mobile striker, he didn't play well but he's far from our biggest problem.

No Moyes interview?! :/ lol.

Pearls of wisdom here from Carrick:

"We've lost a game. We came here hoping to win but we are not out of the tie. It's not ideal. We had good possession in the first half without penetrating through their lines but at the same time they didn't cause us any problems.

We've lost a game?!? I'd love to know how they didn't cause us problems in the first half when they could have gone in 2-0 up.
