Is £245 still too much of a premium for a 280x?

OCUK have the MSI 280x OC in stock for £245 but since im not really an expert in the field i don't know if that is still too much to be paying thanks to the mining boom.

I don't desperately need the card ASAP so I can wait if it's likely that prices might fall over the next month or so. But if not, then i might as well buy now, right?

It's not a bad price for a 280x, I reckon you could find it cheaper elsewhere. But not by much.

I'd give it a month. I think prices will settle down a little. OCUK cards have reduced prices on some 280x's not all, the Toxic is still waaay overpriced.

this I've seen some 280x as low as 199 on sale; but not with toxic cooler......as good as it is; not sure its worth that price

Thanks guys, you confirmed my suspicions. Preferably i'd like a Gigabyte because i've had a card with that cooler before or Sapphire Tri-X because everyone seems to rate them super high but prices for those cards are still just too much for me really.

Yeah, there's good cheaper 280x's than the Toxic. I assume the ones you saw for £199 have stock coolers?

I saw that but have no idea how good the fans are and how reliable VTX are with warranties and such.
