It would appear Carbon frames really bump the price up.

They do - carbon moulds are incredibly expensive.
You will notice that even the bigger companies that are doing prototype 650B DH bikes you see all over Pinkbike, are doing them out of Alu, in stead of doing multiple moulds for different prototype iterations.

Bottom bracket looks really high :D and as ever it's wise to take Steve Jones' nonsensical ramblings with a pinch of salt too, until some 'proper' reviews are out.

Does look nice though and you can never complain about their value for money.

I have a £5 discount when you spend £50 CRC voucher that I'm not going to be able to use in the next 2 weeks before it expires.

First person to contact me on my Trust gets it :D

going to open this up to another forum im on. when its gone its gone..

So the prices posted earlier were in EUR not POUNDS. £3300 for the top spec bike is immense value!

It does have a Specialized look to it but here you can buy a full bike for the price of a frame. YT are currently making every other bike company's pricing strategies look like a total rip off.

I think it goes to show what markup bike shops put on bikes more known. Sickens me that bike shops put another 100% markup on what they buy them for.

I still can't wait for the my 153, due end of March still :)

I wish I could show the trade of some of the high end bike parts. There is next to nothing to be made selling a certain green coloured frames from a big manufacturer. Hope are the same last time I checked.

Any good margins you do get get reduced right down when you do 15-20% off and have to deal with any backup that comes with being a shop. Rose or bike discount sell certain stuff at less than I can buy it trade.

I'd like to know what is considered an acceptable amount to charge as a shop? Should it be sold at trade?

Glentress haha.

That is a beautiful bar turn Cow. Wish I had friends who could take pictures of me. (Not necessarily on the bike right enough...)

:/

I did see Kielder trails which is only an hour ~ away. Anyone been?

I hated it. Bits of it are good but I made the mistake of following the route up to the top of Deadwater Fell which was a long boring fire road into a head wind. I was expecting a good payoff but all I got was another fire road straight down the fall line back to where I'd come from. The actual singletrack bits were good though I'd head further north into Scotland or even down to Dalby.
