job change. would you?

As said seems an easy choice. I also don't consider 25 mile round trip to be a huge distance for a job. Go for it.

Based on the last topic you posted, your current employers are taking the ****, right? So why wouldn't you apply for a new job?

Wait? What? You haven't even applied for it.

Should just apply anyway if you are sick of your current job. Then IF you get offered the job there is a decision to be made.

I'm being slightly optimistic here lol.
With my education and background i find it hard to think i wouldn't get the job at the school, unless someone else applied with More qualifications and experience.

I will have sent of the application form today, sister in law sits on the panel for interviews so is going to help me make my application form stand out :D

Will be on less money per month after travel expenses but tbh i think job satisfaction will be higher.

There must be something holding you back, else why make a thread asking us?

Public sector / education isn't for everyone though

BE VERY mindful of not becoming one of the 'I don't know how to do that as I've not been shown' / 'I only work till 17:00 and not a minute longer, no matter if the network is falling down around me' brigade. Education is FULL of them. You might find moving back into the private sector a little tougher as employers know this.

Basically, enjoy the work and hours.....but work hard (need to be very self motivated) - it's very easy to sit around not doing much all day

The early starting hours, Having to get a car and paying for fuel is the only thing holding me back. All things i can overcome due to the upside is i actually get to talk to people, and have prospects of going up a ladder in the future.

Just have to get an interview now :D

Sent the application form. Will post it tomorrow for a 100% guarantee it arrives.
Will be kinda Devastated if they don't reply. lol

Just a heads up - working in a school as IT Support makes it no easier to becoming a teacher than working in a phone repair shop.

So you haven't sent the application form then?
Derp. There is such a thing as Electronic Mail Greg my man!

Yea mate I'm am aware, But i plan to take my PGCE or other way to progress into qualified teaching status. Working in a school will give an idea of how it would be as a teacher.

Don't take it personally, every job has to be fought for at the min.

Best of luck but from personal experience don't start thinking about the new job until you at least know you have an interview.
