As far as I can see, the only difference between the Titan Black and the 780Ti is an extra 3GB of RAM and a lower clock on the Black. Is that extra RAM really worth another £300? I run triple screens at 5760 x 1080, but this doesn't seem worth it?

jh30uk answered it all basically. Only other time a gamer would use the titan black is if they needed the extra vram it offered over a 780ti due to extra resolutions or multi monitor setups. But as already said its basically a compute card on the cheap.

I was only pointing out 1 difference he missed BTW, too many say its only a 780Ti with 6GB etc etc ;)

Yeah I was agreeing :)

Oh I guess the only other time a gamer would pick it would be to say OMG look at how much money I spent on my pc :) LOL

I know but I may have made it sound as if you do not use it for gaming in my OP which obviously you can like the original Titan but its a lot of cash unless you really need the 6GB for high RES+lots of AA. :)

I held out till it was launched but bought the Ti after seeing specs/price etc.

Well the original titan second hand also throws out an option for the OP depending on price v the 780ti obviously.
