I would lay my woolly hat on the fact that the driver cocked up. It's a docile car when it needs to be, it's not a monster if you don't encourage it. I see a dealer mechanic giving it a poke and running out of talent pure and simple. Isn't the first time, won't be the last time, but it is never the garages fault in these articles, they were always driving law abidingly M'Lord.

If 3 cars crashed on the same stretch of road that day, then surely it could be down to a diesel spill or something similar. You hit something like that even at low speed it can be carnage.

How on earth can the police say "that the car was being driven legally and sensibly in the road conditions", was there an eye witness? If not then surely its one persons word against another

Bloke should have it replaced but is that even possible?

Like I say I think it should fall to the dealers to replace it, didnt the article state there were only 90 made in the paintwork he had? So not irreplaceable just damn hard then he may have had additional factory fitted extras, bet you it would be a hefty cost to get these retrofitted to a different car.

There were 90 of the cars in the UK, his is the only one in the country with that paintwork.
