The Gadgetshow hosts are hipsters and don't really have a clue.

The PC will always be needed, you can't really have a three monitor set up on a laptop / tablet.

TV shows are made for the mass market.

People who know about computers are not 'mass market.'

This should come as no surprise. It's like watching BBC Click. It's lowest common denominator ********. /thread :/

Bit of a stupid show in my opinion. Sometimes there's great stuff on there.

However it will be a long time before smartphones/tablets would have enough power for what I use my pc for if ever. (Excluding games).

Which one did the review? The slaphead desperately and pathetically trying to cling onto his youth, the guy with the owl eyebrows who looks like a creepy uncle, or the black dude who is in no way there to fulfil a quota?

For most people a PC is obselete. The majority of people probably only browse websites, social media and email... all of which can be done more conveniantly on their phone/tablet.

No I dont watch it, I read up on real reviews, not ametuer reviews

The PC will never be obsolete, there will always be a use for one, therefore they will always be around, what about gaming? massive industry, what about high powered music and video production? what about general office based stuff with dual monitor set-ups, multiple storage arrays, what about those who wish to build PC's to run visualization on for server and VM's/labs and learning. What about those who wish to push the bounderies of what normal (off the shelf) PC's can achieve? that's what we as a human race like to achieve isnt it? better faster, harder, stronger.

Making PC's obsolete would be like everyone ditching their cars and buying mini coopers, or smart cars.

You would never get the same performance in a laptop, or tablet! than you would in a PC. Macs are just gay (sorry) and overpriced

I'd much rather browse on a desktop if it's available. Faster, bigger screen, much nicer to type on and no crappy mobile sites.

I am not sure how they can talk about PCs being dead, when their show is dead and had to sack most of the staff. :p

I guess they do not know about the WinXP shift. :)
