As the title suggests which should I get? Mainly the system will be used for gaming and some mild overclocking. I'm using a Corsair H80 for cooling too, but is the 8320 worth the extra money? On the side its just basic computing with some photoshop in the mix.

I'm looking to make a more powerful system over my asus g750jw laptop, which has the following:
i7 4700hq
Nvidia 765m GTX
12Gb Ram.

Any advice would be great and what desktop cards are similar to my mobile graphics on both AMD and Nvidia?

It is better to give us budget, as comparing performance and value between mobile chips and desktop chips is difficult.

Throw us a total budget and what you need, and i am sure you will get a ton of people speccing back.

Well I'm buying a few bits each month, so far I have:

Zalman Z11
Corsair 600w PSU
Corsair H80 cooling
Blu-Ray Drive
Corsair M500 120GB SSD
2x WD Blue 1TB Drives

I can get the 6350 for about £30 cheaper than the 8320. I'm planning to get the Asus Sabretooth board, then looking to spend around £300 on a graphics and cpu.

Corsair PSU's are overpriced for their cheap internals now that most of the mid range quality products have been replaced. I suggest going for a Superflower gold efficiency PSU, as it comes with 5 years warranty and has great internals.

The h80 can be replace by a large air cooler for the same performance but at a cheaper price.

6350 is not worth buying, imo your choices should be between a 6300 (essentially a 6350 but not factory overclocked), 8320, 4670k depending on your budget. If you are only overclocking a bit, not much point in pouring cash into such a high end motherboard, when it go toward the CPU or GPU.

If you work out what you will be able to spend over the few months, itd be easier to deliver a much more balanced rig for the budget for what you need it for.

What is the pc for?

If you game, what games?

What resolution and monitor?
