I know there are a few on here who like a flutter on the F1 and there could be some insanely good value come the Aussie GP, and rather than invade the main threads I thought this might be an idea to keep it in a seperate thread.

There have been some massive market movers since Jerez, both shortening and lengethening in price. The biggest loser is clearly Vettel (was 10/11 for the title, now 7/2) and the biggest winners are anything Mercedes powered (Massa is 50/1 for the title- was 150/1, Hamilton is 9/4 for the title - was 8/1, Rosberg is 6/1 - was 25/1).

These won't change much until the 14th so these are almost certainly the final odds for the 2014 championships;

Drivers Championship (best odds shown)

Lewis Hamilton 5/2
Sebastian Vettel 7/2
Nico Rosberg 6/1
Fernando Alonso 7/1
Jenson Button 10/1
Kimi Raikkonen 14/1
Kevin Magnussen 16/1
Daniel Ricciardo 50/1
Felipe Massa 50/1
Romain Grosjean 80/1
Valtteri Bottas 100/1
Nico Hulkenburg 100/1
Pastor Maldonado 150/1
Sergio Perez 200/1
Adrian Sutil 400/1
Esteban Gutierrez 500/1
Jean Eric Vergne 1000/1
Daniil Kyvat 2000/1

Constructors Championship

Mercedes 6/5
Ferrari 4/1
Red Bull 9/2
McLaren 7/1
Williams 50/1
Lotus 66/1
Force India 100/1
Sauber 500/1
Toro Rosso 2000/1

Australian Grand Prix:

Winner

Lewis Hamilton 5/2
Nico Rosberg 9/2
Fernando Alonso 7/1
Jenson Button 9/1
Sebastian Vettel 10/1
Kevin Magnussen 14/1
Kimi Raikkonen 14/1
Felipe Massa 20/1
Valtteri Bottas 25/1
Nico Hulkenburg 40/1
Daniel Ricciardo 50/1
Sergio Perez 66/1
Romain Grosjean 66/1
Pastor Maldonado 100/1
Adrian Sutil 500/1
Esteban Gutierrez 500/1
Jean Eric Vergne 1000/1
Daniil Kyvat 1500/1
Kamui Kobayashi 3000/1
Magnus Ericsson 5000/1
Max Chilton 5000/1
Jules Bianchi 5000/1

Winning Team

Mercedes 5/4
Ferrari 4/1
McLaren 5/1
Williams 7/1
Red Bull 9/1
Force India 12/1
Lotus 50/1
Sauber 50/1
Toro Rosso 125/1
Caterham 500/1
Marussia 750/1

Took an each way on Massa to win so if he gets on the podium I win. 33/1 to win, 1/5 odds if he gets on the podium. Couldn't find a bet for Marussia or Caterham to score points though.

Bit late now really. Odds have shifted significantly during testing.

Agree, though betting before testing and the odds changing would have been just a shot in the dark. At least betting now there is some knowledge of where things stand.

I put £10 on Hamilton for WDC at 10/3 and £10 on Button at 8/1. Got both either way too, though betting app doesn't give odds for either way, I think they were 2/1 for Hamilton and 3/1 for Button.

I'm not a betting man but covering Rosberg, Vettel and Alonso has to give you a strong chance of a return regardless of which engine supplier gets the upper hand in the long run.

I've never been a betting man but 7/2 on vettle is a tad optimistic surely. Even 5th favourite to win the Aussie GP is very optimistic, I would say that Magnusson and Kimi both have better chances of taking the win than the RB car.

Also interesting to note that the bookies are favouring Lewis over Nico, I would have said that from form shown in testing that Nico was gelling better with the car.

I agree, the times from testing suggest Rosberg being quicker. I assume due to the great unknown of testing that the bookies are like me basing it on past experience which suggest ultimately Hamilton has the edge.

Ladbrokes are the only bookmaker taking the plunge and offering lots of markets.

Immediately these stand out a country mile to me:

NOT to finish the race:

Maldonado 6/5
Grosjean 5/4.

Lotus themselves say they'd be surprised if they finished!

Last year, the Marussia drivers were 50/1 at each race to score points. This year, Bianchi is 9/2, Chilton 8/1.

Now that each way at bookmakers has gone up to 3 places instead of 2 (I assume as Vettel is no longer a dead cert to get 1st) I've backed;

Kimi Raikkonen @ 14/1
Valtteri Bottas @ 20/1
Felipe Massa @ 16/1

All each way, top three.

Maldonado is now 4/7 not to finish and Grosjean is 8/13.
Make that 1/3 and 2/5 now.

Well, here are the winners for 2014:

WDC: Lewis Hamilton @ 5/2, 2nd Nico Rosberg @ 9/2, 3rd Daniel Ricciardo @ 50/1
WCC: Mercedes @ 5/4, 2nd Red Bull @ 9/1

The pre season favourites dominated.

Cashed in for my £60 win on Hamilton WDC already. Had some on Button too but wrote that off very early on in the season due to McLaren being woeful.

Did an each way on Rosberg right before the season opener.

Nico Rosberg @ 22/1 3@1/5 Placed: £15.00 Return: £40.50

Shame my McLaren bet didn't pay off on both Kevin (£2) and Jenson (£8), the Australia podium was looking quite good for the season!
