how many add ons are there? i bought china rising before for 11.99. have yet to see any of the maps in team death match thoughor are they only conquest maps?
The 4 china rising maps are not in the normal rotation, you have to search for them separately.
I unlocked the GOL Magnum last night, i think i actually prefer it to the L96A1 which is the only bolt action i really use in this and BF3.
I now don't need to go near the towers and can just pick people off of them to get the attachments, i think i got about 70 kills with it last night

when you are searching for servers at the top it should say what type of server it is.
BF4, China Rising or Second Assault.
They are all separate. For instance once you join a CR server you will not play any BF4 or SA maps, it is CR only and vice versa.

IMO it's worth buying premium off cdkeys for £35.
buying 5 map packs at £12 each or whatever they are on the store works out to nearly double.
plus you get them 2 weeks in advance as well as a host of other premium features and battle packs.
even if you were to only buy 3 of the map packs, you would still be better off buying premium.
IMO it is a bit of a con and DLC should be a lot cheaper, IMO £5 per map pack and £15 for premium is around the right price, developers and publishers are getting too greedy, especially since the game has been riddled with bugs and the servers are so crap.
i wouldn't mind paying £90+ for the full package (original game plus all DLC's) had the game been flawless and had a 3 year shelf life.

from what I have read, there shouldn't be another BF game for at least 1.5 years, they have a 2 year shelf life going on past releases, but you never know they could change this to 1 year like COD is.
there's still another 3 map packs left to come out and any gun unlocks should be free going on the last few ones we have had.
i have unlocked most of the guns now anyway, just LMG's and snipers left really and all the special unlocks.
i think there will be a sniper unlock coming soon for free because they have already done shotguns, DMR's and handguns for free as well as grenades.

bit annoying they give unlocks away for free like that. (apart from pistol, and grenade) i think people should be made to work for the unlock. not be handed them on a plate. gives them incentive to use every gun in the game rather than picking and choosing
oh well. i'll still pick up the premium maybe this month! really enjoying the game. my kd ratio is sitting about 500 for each.

I'm not in the platoon as I msotly play with my mates (TEAM BEAN FTW!! lol)
although I suppose I could join the platoon anyway like.
But I enjoy SDM because you can have a good run individually and win your squad the game which is a nice change from the heavy team based stuff sometimes.
We dominated when it was OCUK against randoms so an all OCUK against each other would be interesting
I had to LOL at the grenade unlock on PSN. Really? I had maxed out grenades after my 2nd ever round on BF4 about 20 minutes after getting the game.
You only need 4-5 grenade kills or something.
Unlocked the Gol Magnum the other day which was a relief as I hate climbing up a tower to snipe. I tried on 1 round and got shot before reaching the first platform 10x in a row.
Luckily I got in a round of Oblit where some awful snipers were camping on a building so was able to pick them off quickly.
Some of the assignments have been horrible. Had put in 125 hours before I even got in a bomber!!
Also, I find that UCAV thing hard to control. It just flies off into the air and is over the entire map before I realise what's happened. lol.
Only tried it twice like and it went passed the enemy spawn in 2 seconds!

depends on the maps, for me infantry based maps like locker and metro i do best at, had a 30-4 on metro at the weekend yet firestorm am lucky if i break even on it

metro and locker are my top 2 maps for k/d.
i don't care about it tbh, if i did i could probably get a decent one.
all you need to do on metro and locker is sit back from where all the action is and then just use a noob tube to ping in grenades from a safe distance. make sure you have someone on your team drop you a ammo box on your back and your set for the full round, just keep launching grenades (for every 2-3 grenades you should get at least 1 kill).
or supply your own ammo box and use nades from a safe distance (much harder to do on locker) but it's far easier to do with assault class and the ping pong grenade launcher.
i could easily do 30-4 on those maps if i cared, i don't though and usually get around 3:1 or 2:1 as i like to run in and try and get behind them all, i like to get in the middle of the action, not stand back and lap up easy kills.

Agreed on some of the assignments being horrible, I swear they weren't this bad in BF3. Getting those tower kills for the GOL was one of the most troll things ever! But you saved me a lot of hassle with the tank flag cap assist for the DPM6 camo
There is no golden answer. So many parts to being a good player: map knowledge (choke points / where not to run etc), spatial awareness (teammates dying, audio hints), player skill (fast consistent aiming etc), weapon skill (handling recoil, burst fire etc) to name a few. But most of all practice really!
Also, xfactorgaming on Youtube has some good videos with helpful tips for new players.
Please don't do this! Personally, guys sitting on a hill and going 3-0 k/d in BF4 is my pet hate as it does nothing for your team!
