This is what I've come up with after a quite unhealthy amount of
procrastination , looking for a primarily gaming PC, that will also
allow me to do some photoshopping and video editing.

Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H Intel Z87
EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular
TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 16GB (2x8GB)
Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler
Crucial M500 240GB SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Corsair Carbide 500R Midi Tower Case - Black/White
Corsair Vengeance K65 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Zowie EC2 eVo 2300 DPI Pro-Gaming Mouse

Any and all comments would be very much appreciated.

Looks good mate, you will not need 1KW, gold/plat 650-700 would be fine!

I would personally go with one of these:

YOUR BASKET
1 x BeQuiet Dark Power Pro P10 550W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £109.99
1 x Seasonic X-Series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £109.99
1 x Seasonic G series 650w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £89.99
1 x SuperFlower Golden Green HX 650W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £79.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova NEX 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £79.99
1 x Seasonic G series 550w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £74.99
Total : £559.94 (includes shipping : £12.50).

Thanks, I was going down that route but I thought if I was going to crossfire at a later date it would make sense to get a big psu now rather than spend less now then get rid of it later. Of course I'm assuming the tri-xs will be less expensive after a year or so.

Wow, that's awesome! Save me a bit of money anyway on a build that started off at £800 tops and,ahem....spiraled :D

Before I pull the trigger you both think there's no stupid decisions, compatibility issues or stuff you'd change?

I love the look of the NXZT, but I've gone with the Superflower Leadex(shame it doesn't come in white).

Before I click 'buy' do I need to purchase separate thermo paste or is the one that comes with the cpu okay? Also, do I need an anti-shock/static thingy?

It is odd, because the Leadex 1000W's come in white..

Still a stunning choice.

Na, the CPU cooler (K2 Mount Doom) will come with paste (its acutally pretty good).

Na, you wont need that. YOu can use to anti-static bag the motherboard comes in to build on. :)

Thats what i do!

Okay, cool. Just want to say a big thanks, gents, your help has been invaluable!
I swear this building your first pc lark is more stressful than buying a car!:D

Thanks again guys.
