Just received my bundle, where does the fan go?

Received my pc today but Im a dunce with computers and I dont know how everything inside works. I set up the inside trays and fixed some of the components on them (is that right?)

But the main issue is the fan. I dont think it has been fixed in properly at all, it was on a pair of flimsy wires that werent even fixed in properly, what am I suppose to do with it? Where does it go? I've included a pic. Thanks

I'm guessing between the 2 metal wires left and right of the heatsink - google image search the model of heatsink and should be some with a fan in place that should give some idea.

What were the terrible wires for? Just for packaging purposes? Theyre useless, they werent even fixed on anything

The clips wrap round the frame of the fan, cooler is a prolimatech megahelims. Google image search will show how they fit.

They are meant to be hooked into the heatsink and it's used to hold the fan into place.

I think you have the wires on the wrong way round. The pointed ends of the wire are supposed to be placed into the holes on the fan, 1 top & 1 bottom.

Then, place the fan flush against the heatsink and push the clips round to the dents so they fit into the groove.

Does that make sense?

This video will give you a close up of how they should look when installed - I know the cooler is different, but the process is the same.

Should be two sets of wires?

two small and two large. Use the smaller ones on a 120mm fans and the bigger ones on larger fans i think.

Edit..or the larger wires may just catch hold of a 120mm fans mounting holes and hold it that way.

Unsure about a standard Mega stulid, but i had the supermega a few years ago. It came with two sets of identical sized clips that fitted both 120 and 140mm 25mm depth fans. Shot of it below in this post with 140mm yate loons fitted.

Never had those clips in the left side pic, but then i suppose theyre probably a revised version that came with the coloured models. Theese are even more recent than the super mega i owned.
