Hey Guy's, Just won a £250 Amazon gift card and was wondering what you guys would upgrade first on my rig.

Spec as follows:

Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl
Corsair CX500 PSU
Asus M4A86TD Motherboards
AMD Phenom II x6 1090t Black Edition
8Gb (4x2) Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz RAM
Asus Geforce GTX 560ti Direct CU II 1G Graphics Card
2TB Seagate HDD
120GB Crucial Agility 3 SSD
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Heatsink

Any suggestions would be great.

Not bad, nice one!

What is your machine most used for?

This would be what I may lean towards:

Option 1:
New CPU & Motherboard, using all other parts

Option 2:
Nice new graphics card &/or bigger SSD

I use it for Web Design/Development and Gaming.

With the current setup I have no problems really when it comes to my Workflow. Fast SSD, 6 cores and Fibre broadband pretty much makes anything I do instant so I would be mainly looking at improving the graphics on the gaming side.

The 280x is a nice card but doesn't it run hot? With the case being Silent I am worried about the overheating issue. Would I be better off adding £100 and getting a GTX780?

If you want to get a card better than 280x, you should consider an upgrade for your CPU/MB too to avoid a bottleneck in gaming.

And no, the 280x doesn't normally run hot.

You can link to Amazon as long as it isnt a PC component or something else OcUK sells.

OcUK DO NOT sell Canvas prints...

And LOLLLLLL

This thread has gone so off topic haha :D

So you think 280X. I'm really not sure what to spend it on really. I will be doing a full system update in September around my birthday so maybe I should save it for then or maybe buy myself some Peripherals. and wait on the upgrade of the system. Could get a Corsair K70, M65, Gaming surface and a 1400 headset for £250 i recon :)
