I bought 10 pound of Potatoes off a ***** for £250 thinking I was buying a laptop many years ago. I watched him put the laptop in the bag and then pass me the bag but the switch was so quick. My fault, as the golden rule is "Never buy off a *****" and i broke it.

At least you will be 50 notes up on me :D
 
I took a chance on an iphone 5 BNIB buy now for £160 off a seller with 100% feedback/5 years. That was a scam. I got the money back but it took 5 weeks.

It happened. He had a top of the range Sony Vaio and I was working in Wembly (roofing). two of them sat in the front and he handed me the laptop bag after I watched him put the laptop in and I handed him £250. He drove off and I hid the potatoes in the van while I finished up. Jumped in the van with excitement and opened up the bag.... Looked at my partner and used a couple of expletives but laughed.... Nothing i could do and took it on the chin. I know what ****** are like and yet I chanced it. :D

This was about 12 years ago.
