Anyone here on VF?

I swear their data speeds are getting worse, and I seem to see H, and even 3G less and less. Only ever see H+ once for a few seconds and its gone. No 4G here either. In Bucks

If I'm on Edge or GPRS you can forget about trying to browse or use maps.

I'm out of contract and am seriously considering switching to Three or EE.

Anyone else on or have been with VF and have bad data speeds?

I used vodafone for 12 months back in 2008ish and it was terrible then. Few mates use vodafone, and i do hear them complaining about their data speed and overall package.

Go for Three. Been with Three for almost 2 years. Not one problem yet. Best network when it comes to internet on the move. Consistent speed most of the times. Never had any of my calls dropping etc... Plus they have, All you can eat data bar Tethering which they have put a cap on for new customers.

Opposite off you, was with Three for 2 years, started of amazing and ended up next too useless in London. Now on Vodafone and I get pretty awesome 4g coverage, and in the rare times I don't get 4g I get h+. A lot off places where I used to get 0 signal with 3 (bars/restaurants/very big buildings) I get 3-4 bars of 4g with Vodafone.

IT really is all down too location, if there being pants I would call them up first and complain a lot. Also try out other networks, you never know which is best in your area.

Well I called them on Monday. He told me that apparenty my SIM was 'Lagging a day behind' - Sounds like utter ******** to me but he said he did something. Needless to say its still crap.

I am literately just on the outskirts of the 4G coverage, half a mile nearer London and I'd be covered, but not expecting much better going from previous experience.

Tried a 3 Sim a month or so ago and it seemed fine. Think I'm going to jump on the 'Ultimate Internet SIM 200 1 month' which would be perfect for me....

Yep, I made the terrible mistake of suggesting our 8 company lines went on vodafone.

My colleagues have been chasing me with pitchforks ever since, I can't even hold a conversation going round the M25 or up and down the M40 with any degree of confidence.

Have spoken to Vodafone and they're pretty disinterested, fine.. our average £1k per month per line spend will go elsewhere in September and you won't even notice.

And I'm fine with that!

Berks here and have no problem with Voda, even out in the (almost) countryside where I live. If anything, Voda data on my phone is faster than using my home wireless!

Berkshire... Not near Vodafone HQ by any chance? :p

Anyway this is me in London yesterday...

Athough having been on Voda for a few years now, I definitely agree on 2G/2.5G you can forget about data entirely.

Can't wait to leave Vodafone, the speeds for me have always been poor and the general coverage much worse than my girlfriend on EE with the same phone.

And when people say its location dependent, from random checks, I've only had better signal than my girlfriend on about 5 occasions in two years.

Full H (sometimes H+) near a town centre at work:

woooooooowwww

Here's my review of the networks i've been on in Reading and Nottingham.

Three... rubbish indoors. No idea why, it just always sucks indoors. Great outdoor coverage especially in City centres. Rapid.

EE... very quick, good coverage throughout but strange drop outs which make little sense.

O2... "Ok" indoor and outdoor, pretty good coverage but not as fast as the other two. I settled for them because it keeps me with 3G at all times, 4G gives me a steady 20MBit with 2 bars indoors and in the city centre it's even faster.

Plus O2 Refresh is the best thing ever if you like to switch phones often, as I do.

Three has bands at are high hz which mean faster speeds but crap penetration.

Every network 3G is using 2100Mhz and optionally, in addition they use 1800/900. 4G is more of a mixed bag but three again arn't using the highest bands either.
