I currently have one GTX670 under water. I game on 1920 x 1080 resolution. Do I...

  1. Get another GTX670 and block for roughly £300 (second hand GPU, new block) and run SLI.
  2. Sell current GPU and buy one single GPU and block (upgrade).
  3. Stick with what I have and wait for next gen card (stop throwing money away).

My card right now performs well, but has the odd stutter etc while playing demanding games. It's acceptable, but I'm getting the upgrade itch.

670 SLI will get you up to 780Ti levels of performance which is meaty for 1080p

depends how large that itch is, we know where you're coming from.

I think £300 for another 670 is pushing it, if you can do it with a block for £250 or less i'd do that.

Otherwise sell it, save a bit and jump in on the 780Ti

Means I need to pick up the card for £140, unless I see a card and block combo which I haven't seen anywhere. Will keep my eyes peeled, but not holding my breath!

Cheers.

Was going to do the same with my 670 but just got a 780 instead, card was 380 on offer and I got 150 for my 670 so was worth it to me. Also got 3 free games with it which I wanted anyway.

You won't be disappointed either way though, Maybe a little overkill for 1080 but who cares.

^^ The 780's 3GB will help more at higher RES with AA etc. than the 670 even in SLI if 2GB model.s

If you asked me before the 750ti launch, I would have said another 670 but tbh, I would wait for the next gen cards.
