Completed on our first home last Friday after 5 years together in a small rented 2 bed flat. Not sure if we are more excited or terrified, main move this weekend but still loads to buy as our current flat is mostly furnished so only really a bed, sofa and TV stand to move.

4 Double beds, 1730sq/ft or is that ft/sq, a single garage and a 10m x 8m garden.

Congratulations :)

cramped two bed flat to a 4 bed house sounds like a nice step up.

Pictures of the lounge / kitchen seem to indicate that the property is in good condition/newly refurbished?

Look forward to more pictures.

New house!

That house looks really nice, any pictures of the upstairs?

OP updated

Nice looking place:)

You need an ultra wide angle lens to get good photos inside rooms. Or, blend several photos together.

Far too busy with either of those options. You'll have to live with rubbish photos :p

Any bright ideas for garden/interior decor appreciated. We have no idea!

I love the desire for more bathrooms.

Years ago a family bathroom was enough, then houses needed a downstairs toilet, then came the essential en-suite and now new builds are coming with 3 en-suites & a main bathroom. Where will it end ?!?!? :p

That looks really nice, but I'll say this now...

Our rented house has them exact Door Handles and they are HORRENDOUS, every single one in our house is falling off. Have had to get a dude out to fix them best he could.

Hopefully your doors arent the crappy ones ours are :D

It'll be more poopers than rooms soon.

Its a rather large garden so i assume you're going to want some grass down.

Also what about the possibility of some trees to give the garden more privacy from the neighbours.

There is a tree due to be planted but not until autumn, can't even refuse as it's part of the planning permission

Grass will be going down but not until April/May when it is rather less of a quagmire.

It does actually work in this property and gives me plenty of options for a post curry poo. In a lot of houses we looked at the en-suites were a pain as they quote often took away desperately needed space from the bedroom. One of the things that we liked about this property is that all 4 bedrooms are proper doubles (can easily fit king size beds in all of them) and not funny shapes despite the two en-suites.

They seem solid enough but I'm not exactly a huge fan of the handles or the colour of the doors so they'll be coming off at some point though realistically not until next year.

This evening I installed some blinds in my office to keep the contents away from prying eyes. I thought I was being ingenious, SWMBO is concerned what the neighbours will think.

Yeah I can kind of get the idea of a family bathroom and one en-suite but when each room gets an en-suite I think it starts getting a bit crazy lol.

Exactly
We only have one en-suite, a main bathroom and a downstairs toilet and we have no time to keep it all clean - We have a cleaner come once a week.

I'd image with multiple en-suites you would need your own dedicated cleaning team :p

We'll if you have 4 or 5 en-suites you can probably afford a live in cleaner lol

great I love the big downstairs rooms. took me quiet a while to find a place with big enough living room alone never mind the other rooms. The kitchen dinner is what I would have liked but I ended up with a wall in the way but that can be dealt with in the future.

I'm putting an offer in for my move today but the estate agents are being a bunch of cocks (as required by the job description) and making me wait till Monday.
