MSI GeForce GTX 780Ti Gaming Edition at £509 inc vat ! Should I buy it ?

I have this item in my shopping basket now and can't make my mind up to press submit :D

Should I do it ? £509 looks like a good price to me or will it go lower ?

I've just bought one at £579 inc VAT, so understandably a bit miffed it has dropped so quickly. Do I have to RMA it to save the difference or can there be a mini refund? Seems bonkers to go through that process - with the costs and effort on both sides though, when a simpler solution better for both parties would suffice.

The MSI fan issues seem to be mainly limited to ATI cards, can only find one NVidia card on the forum so far that had a fan leak.

It also appears to be a result of mining and the cards running to hot and fans running at 100% for to long, if you accept everything msi say on face value.

They also claim the problems are limited to pre November 2013 production models.

I see no reason why not to get the msi 780ti GE unless you want to save some money and get a reference card.

You believe MSI spin?

All the cards are in hot environments and running 100% fan speed while mining?

I neither believe or disbelieve what has been said. Bottom line is the op concerns an 780ti which as far as I can see has no reported fan issues.

The cooler fans are exactly the same looking, so its a risk.

The Ref one is on offer and the best Ref cooler ever made, quiet and cool.

Just spoken to Overclockers and they have agreed to refund me the difference. Absolutely top service and I'm well impressed. They've got my custom for life now. Made my day. Cheers Overclockers!
