YES! :D

Obligatory "slug is faget."

e: so everybody is up to speed here...

As some of you may have noticed, a crucial debate has raged on this forum for a number of days now as to whether the snail or the slug is the superior creature. There are merits to both sides of the debate, but neither side is willing to concede. Personally, I'm a fan of the snail. With it's tough shell it is able to withstand brute strength of which a slug is merely not capable - after all, it's exoskeleton is made of far advanced material well beyond the evolutionary capabilities of the slug. This shell allows the snail to hold its breath for longer underwater and means that it has a home within which to live, something that the humble slug no longer has due to buying a shell mortgage during the subprime crisis and over-leveraging itself.

That being said, the slug is an advanced creature in its own right. Without the encumbrance of a home that it carries everywhere, it is far more agile than its snail counterpart. It has been documented that some slugs have developed an endoskeleton in place of the snail's exoskeleton, which could suggest some degree of further evolution (but I refer you to constant attempts by the human master race to create a substantial exoskeleton, which would suggest it is actually far behind on the evolutionary scale). It's also worth considering that 'slug' is also a name for a bullet, which is pretty bad ass.

If a mod could add a poll, it would be much appreciated. I'm sure we're all equally keen to put this to bed as quickly and democratically as possible.

So, GD, which of the following statements is (most) true:

  • slug is faget
  • snail is faget

As always, your continuing efforts in the search of undeniable truth are not only valued, but legendary.

You could've just renamed it?

EDIT - I managed to rename it....and you didn't make yours public!

Look at this slug...blatent slug faget

Slugs are clearly superior. Snails retreat into their shell at the first sign of danger, whereas the mighty slug just stands his ground. Snail is faget.
