Hi all,

Me again with Linkin Park stuff :-). New single from the next album, GUILTY ALL THE SAME (feat. Rakim).

Lyric video put out by LP yesterday.

:/ Lot of noise going on for 5 mins. Not impressed but I haven't been impressed with them for a while. Shame as I liked their earlier albums. I can't see me buying this.

Hybrid Theory was amazing, Meteora was passable. Everything since has been utter and complete dung.
 
To echo the above its abysmal - shame coz while not my kind of music at all I liked their early stuff.

EDIT: Though if they's slowed it down and brought the lyrics in earlier it would have been fairly decent.
 
Another Hybrid Theory fan here but never so much as went off them as knowing I was too old for them at the time anyway (read: not a teenager) and never followed any of their later stuff.
I don't like the vocal style so much and seem to remember Chester being used less early on and more for the shouty bits with the occasional singy bit whereas now its mostly singy and makes them sound like 99% of the other alt/nu metal bands.
One thing I do quite like however is the fact it sounds like they actually sound a lot heavier than I remember. The number of bands I liked over the years that have almost entirely walked away from power chords and electric guitars makes me a sad panda - Jap black metalers Sigh, Norse goth metal band Beyond Dawn and the nutters Ulver have all pretty much forgotten thier metal roots.
So qudos for that I suppose :p

edit - Sigh seem to be still very much into metal and have a very attractive young lady Sax/Vocalist called Dr. Mikannibal. :O

I still think HT was the best album but I'd take ATS/LT over Meteora/MTM without a moment's hesitation, I thought they were quite good albums.

GATS doesn't really grab me, i'll have to hear the whole album first.
 
Thats actually really heavy in parts, very surprising!

The first 8 seconds are hilarious and sounds like some kind of St Anger style "evolution".
 
Never really liked anything Linkin Park have released but HT and Meteora were ok, or at least not offensive.

This song however is dreadful. Awful intro as well.
 
I don't disagree with anything that's been said, HT was there best album and will always be.

They didn't even tour Living Things in the UK from what I saw, which tells you something. They need to go back to the HT days but they don't need to remake HT IMO.

I was a member of there fan club for a 1 year, during that yeah i saw them once with pre-order tickets (I didn't need to pre-order, lol) and felt i wasn't getting anything more than anyone else as a fan that didn't sit right with me. I still buy their work but not on pre-order or deluxe editions.
 
+1 to the majority of the above etc. HT was and still is incredible. I really like Meteora as well but everything after is just leaves you wondering. Like I'll still buy the new album because I love LP and I have hope that maybe one day they'll do something just as good.
