I expect some discussion over taB and Jokesters, same beer but quoting different people :p: it's up for the debate :)

Cheers for the quote Sonea F!

Your welcome buddy

How was it Sonea? I know you were interested when I had it, I personally didn't rate too highly to be honest

I've tried it before Silvertongue - personally I quite like bananas and found the mix to be really rather nice. I've only finished the bottle less than an hour ago and very much enjoyed it. Prior to that I drank my competition entry for next week and "Oh My Giddy Aunt" this was lovely . . . . . . . .

You'll have to wait till next next week to find out though chaps :p

No offence to either of you chaps but it's a beer competition and you've both quoted the same beer irrespective of the individual that entered the specific beer - Just my thoughts . . . . . . . .

No quibbles here - same beer = points sharing. Person quoted is irrelevant.

I think it's 3 points each though? :)

Marvt, how did you find BeerLao? I visited the distillery in 03. It was the most technologically advanced place I saw in the whole country!

I agree to it being the same beer so sharing points :)

It was nice to be honest. I was quite lucky as i only remembered about the competition on the train to Manchester for a night out around 5pm so spent the journey going over old threads (Macca it was much easier when DJ used to put links into the main thread in one post!), then headed into the first pub praying that they’d have a relevant entry and luckily they had Beer Lao. Was a lot better than a lot of Asian type beers I thought.

On a side note, the bar also had a Spanish beer which was made from sea water. Really unusual taste and the best way to describe it is drinking a beer on the beach just after coming out of the sea when you still have a salty taste on your lips!

It was called the Blue Pig in the Northern Quarter, it opened about a year ago and is over the road from Walrus.

Same unit that Sevenoaks Sound and Vision used to be in.

It was called Er Boqueron.

Ahh awesome, I know where you mean. I'm not sure we're venturing into Northern Quarter as far as I know. I know we're starting in Brewdog and maybe going to The City Arms, The Castle Hotel and maybe Crown & Kettle so kind of the opposite end of the city.

I'm definitely going to look out for that though and get one at some point. I'm a bit of a saltaholic (if there is such a thing).
