Finally got myself a Focus st. few questons.

Im not very mechanically minded but i assume the clutch cant be checked easily for this issue?

Also can i rule out that its the gearbox? Its either linkages or the clutch??

Thanks

I know what's happened to my car as ive just been stopped by the last owner in Tesco lol.

She had, front/ back bumper, skirts sprayed black. Gullwing doors and suspension lowered.

Its simply wasn't put back together properly by the looks of it when that stuff was removed and painted back to original colour. So no accident which is good.

She also wanted the car back as she missed it.

I've just PX'd in my 2007 ST with 55k miles, and was in pristine condition. Dealer has it up for £7k!

OP you shouldn't let your heart rule your head next time, but alas it looks like it turned out ok, enjoy it :)

SAME HERE :(

Just read the whole thread before checking the date :(

What was the issue in the end OP anyways?

Still go the car?

Did you sell it back to her?

Has it been through a hedge?

Enlighten us :D

Since when did the market pick up on these!? I sold mine for a pittance 2 and a half years ago and prices seem to have gone up not down! When i was selling, no one could sell them for love nor money and the market was flooded with them! at the time i remember facelifts with under 60k miles going for around 8k.

Dreamland surely:

I bought a 2006 from a Ford franchise dealer with that mileage for 8k and 0% finance ( so could have got more off it without the finance offer), 3 and a half years ago!

What on earth is with the prices of these?

I have a feeling it's to do with the new ST being pretty terrible.

I remember contemplating selling my ST about 2 and a half years ago, and someone on here said I wouldn't get more than £9k for it. I can sell it now for £9k over 2 years later. Even dealers are listing worse condition cars than mine for >£10k...
