Hi all, was wondering on opinions of what is the best Motherboard price/performance wise for the above CPU

Its a gift so already have the CPU. I like AMD CPU's and they are my choice so its not a Intel v AMD type of Argument:D

Thanks for looking and Opinions guys

Can you take back the CPU for an 8320?

They are the same chip, but essentially the 9590 comes with an insane premium for their factory overclock, which pretty much all 8 core fx chips i have tried are capable of reaching.

For this sort of clock on an 8 core, you want to be looking at the Sabertooth really. The gigabyte ud3 would be my next choice if budget is an issue.

No mate it was a gift

I already have 2 Rigs- one with a FX8350 and other has a FX8150

Ill Move my fx8150 Over to be my Home Hyper V Server

All three CPU's have been gifts so I pretty much take them and say Thanks:D

I've got a gigabyte 990fxa ud5 and it's a great motherboard. I've got it paired with a 8350 and it's a great setup. No issue with it whatsoever even though I'm selling the whole lot.
Great to overclock with.

Running on a sabertooth myself but if the price of the UD5 isnt much more go for that over the UD3.

No need to spend that much. Its overkill for a factory overclocked chip, even if it is a 9590. Ofc it will be good, it is the most expensive board available but wont make a lick of difference compare to most other high end but a lot cheaper boards. I would find the CHVF-Z easier to recommend if the OP was looking for the best overclocking board and had a 8320/50 to clock up but the 9590 will run at 24x200mhz regardless, as long as the board's components are up tot he task.

Sabertooth is a nice board, I have my 8350 in one. Well cooled with a heatpipe over everything important basicly.

Gigabyte; don't get the UD3, less features and the UD3 uses an analog VRM, not a digital VRM which is more precise. Plus the lack of mosfet cooling on the cheaper boards lowers their life, and with a 9590 drawing a ton of power through them they will get HOT.

Any of the 990FX boards will do you proud. If like me you plan on water cooling just make sure its a board you can definitely buy the water blocks for. The Asus Crosshair V is one I know you can get blocks for no problem. That chip will get quite hot so even if you aren't planning a full custom loop you should at least be thinking of an all-in-one solution such as an h80 or maybe even an h100.
