Yes I have read this whole thread but I totally disagree with your view that they should not put it on the main page. It's your choice to visit the website.

I'm sure there's plenty of folks who are having sporting events spoiled for them by coming to the BBC home page (or indeed news page) have having results delivered to them they didn't want to see.
Are we saying, with how powerful HTML code is this day, that there can't at least be a "hover over" feature so you don't see results?
As for not visiting the page, I typically now skip the main page solely for this reason - which in itself is annoying - but when you can't even escape results being spoiled for you by directly going to the NEWS page that's very frustrating. Especially when there is a dedicated SPORTS page surely just for this sort of thing.
Anyway, I knowto many this will come across as a storm in a teacup, but I do fund it frustrating

Just go straight to bbc.co.uk/iplayer everything else is poor anyway.
They love to constantly promote shows they've signed by creating nonsense 'news' stories and magazine stories about them. Mad Men was probably the best example of this.
