Hi guys

I'm in for a new mouse mat and thought maybe a nice big one would do nicely. I wondered how the above mat compared to the qck which i have now ? Are they pretty much the same surface ie. cloth trim ?

Also if I were to trim it down a fraction to make it a perfect fit on the desk is it likely to fray at the edges ?

Any input would be appreciated from those of you with experience of these mats

Cheers

It will be the same material so will feel pretty much the same as the qck. As long as you cut it properly and not with a kitchen knife :D then no it will be fine.
.
Also have a look at the razer goliathus extended mats.

it's not as good as the qck+ but it's close. Something on the QCK+ makes the mouse feel that tiny bit more responsive.

No it shouldn't fray if you cut it properly :D

Reall want to get the OCukXXL......just waiting for it to go on sale :o
Same as my current boogie mat is knackered. Im hoping the surface of the ocuk mat is similair to the boogie, my g500 mouse tracks really nicely but theres the added bonus of keeping my keyboard from sliding about.

Was in the market for a new mat (new place, bigger desk etc), so have taken a punt and just ordered one of these. Will see what it is like.

Nice one , let us know how it goes please.

Thanks for replies

This just turned up. :)

I had another item on the order that turned out to not be in stock with no ETA but I didn't see the mail straight away, hence the delay getting it. My fault.

Very, very initial impression as I've literally just taken it out the package and slapped it on the desk. But so far, so good! It's big, very big, it's weird how even though I measured up before hand, so had a good idea of the size, it's not until you actually see it that it sinks in. But it is a great size for the space I have, k/b and mouse on it with plenty of room to move the mouse.

Quality seems decent, though I guess time will tell how it stands up to daily usage. Nice smooth shiny feel to it, mouse seems to track nicely on it. Though only just trying it now in windows, will need to game with it later.

OcUK logo is nicely done, seems to be in the material under the top layer so don't think it will be rubbing off or anything like that.

I'll try and get some pics up later (though it'll mean tidying the desk a bit !!) and try and update with some more thoughts once I've had it a bit longer.

But for the price (I did the bundle with the mug) I'm pretty happy with it so far. I will say though that I'm not exactly a mouse pad expert and though have had a few good and bad over the years I can't really say how it would compare to others, just that it seems more than adequate for my needs and the mouse feels smooth and accurate when tracking over it.

Will this maybe start tempting OcUK to put the XXL on sale next week?

You've got more than a few customers interested in buying it, if you put out the right price ;-)

Can we start a mini petition?

Whereas we will pledge to buy the XXL mousemat if OC put it on an offer at, say £15?

Can a member of staff get in on this?

The problem I've found is he edge of the mat closest to yo, seems to always have a line of dust around and under it It like it is breaking down.I can wipe it off but 5 mins later it's back
