New car

I would comment on the CLS but I'm too distracted by the idea of £11,000 for an 11 year old 140k 330Ci just because it's got a supercharger on it.

It's awesome.

The fact you bought a CLS55 AMG for not much more should tell you how hilarious that price is.

P.S. Good suspension setup though on that though, OP you should advertise it in the track section on PH too, some could view that as potentially a good track car project.

Thanks for that, I'll have a look. Someone also suggested driftworks? Never been on there - worth a shot?

OP - new car = win.

some fairly nasty swirls above that wing badge. you planning on a paint correction?

Yeah, its not that noticeable unless you look close like that pic but there are some areas that are worse. Reckon I'll wait till the weather gets a bit more consistent and look to see what can be done :)

lol. Yeah, it would be hilarious if it was just a 140k 330Ci with a bolt on supercharger :p it obviously does not appeal to the same market a standard 140k 330Ci does.

Its priced high for no other reason than it stops people coming to me and saying "i'll give you 2.50 for it pal". If someone offered me any reasonable amount, it'd be theirs.

Lovely mercedes, looks like an absolute beast of a car.

Waste of time spending money advertising that BMW at £11k. You know it's over priced, everyone else knows it's over priced too but you'll get 0 interest at that level because anyone who is interested in it will assume you won't be prepared to drop the price.

That Merc is an awesome vehicle, but fugly as sin.

The rear end looks sexy. And that's all that matters.

Welcome to the AMG brotherhood!

:D

Perhaps true. Though I did say I was aware it is a high price and that it can't hurt to make an offer. It's difficult to advertise something like that because there's nothing to compare it to fr a benchmark. Its worth what someone is willing to pay. It's not as if I'm expecting or wanting to get back what I've spent on it! That said, taking on people's comments, I appreciate it can put people off so will probable drop it a bit.

Nice looking AMG :)

I'd stick your current car up for £9,995, will remove the over 10k mental barrier from most people, but it's going to be hard to sell, i'd split for parts.

No harm in trying. A recent 2002 M3 just sold for £14,500, I thought it was over-priced (track prepared) as did most other people, but it sold within a week of being advertised at list price.

So its all about whether or not there is someone looking for what your selling who really wants it, because then you will get potentially what you want. The first round I sold the Mustang, I got it for 26k, spent 6k in modding it, so it owed me 32k and 2 years later I sold it for 34k. :)

But if you want a quick sale, I'd try £7950.00

Don't forget people commonly apply upper ranges to search criteria so many people wouldn't even see it as few people would consider paying that much for a car of that age.

Beautiful Mercedes, I love the single sweeping line on the CLS. To me it looks great from all angles.

I'd also love to see some interior pics. Frightening that you can get a vehicle like that with only 60k on the clock for 13 grand.

That's a really good point, never thought of that with the search criteria. Its been dropped a bit now.

I think I got quite lucky really. I went to see quite a few of these cars before deciding on this one and the majority were higher mileage at this price point especially (110-120k+)
