My Phantom S5.

wow that must be fun to drive, I found that after the remap on my 335i it was a little hard to put down the power especially if it was a little wet but the Audi with the Quattro must really fly.

Drove to the lakes, did a lap of windermere and coniston in decent weather.

For such a big car, it has huge amounts of grip and the steering is sharp and concise, no understeer.

No understeer?

Either Audi made big improvement to this S5 with that engine as the RS5 V8 car I drove had buckets of understeer, :D though you had to push very hard as like you say the Quattro gives a lot of grip, but you go past it and the car just pushes annoyingly so. :(

It still has understeer but it is better than the old V8. I've pushed ours pretty hard and it still exhibits all of the typical Audi 4WD traits :)

would be nice to see some acceleration videos of the speedo, 0-60, 60-100, that sort of thing. Love the car, drive a oil burner A5 but driven the works 3.0 diesel qautro and I loved it, this must be something else!

Does APR require you to take the ECU out physically or can it be mapped via the Port?

I want to map my A3 on APR so I have the cruise control settings but I don't have cruise control yet.

Retrofitting cruise control to that era of VAG car is simple enough, PSI Tuning in Stoke can probably do it for you and it won't involved taking the ECU out, it's just a matter of coding it in with VAGCOM once you've fitted the stalk. Oddly enough the 8P A3 isn't priced for that on their site but I had my '08 camper done there for <£200 IIRC.
Would've done it myself but with the cost of VAGCOM and the part it would have been substantially more expensive (albeit an investment) and fitting the stalk meant taking the steering wheel off - and it was in there anyway for a service.

depends on the vehicle for the remap. Most cars are direct port, with the exception of some of the TT-RS and RS3 revisions (2.5tfsi)

Best to ring your nearest apr dealer (http://www.goapr.co.uk/dealer/)

Nearest APR dealer to me is 250km away sadly :( I think I will just save up and do remap + carbonio + catback all in one sitting.

Quick update.

Ive got an APR RSC exhaust on back-order.
Carbonio Intake will be going on in a few weeks.
KW Height Adjustable Springs (for ADS)
ST Suspension spacers set.

Should see me through until Stage2+ :)

I did have to laugh the last time I was looking at the APR website. The Carbonio carbon fibre intake looked well nice, but they split up the airbox and throttle-body pipe into 'stages' :p.

Yea, Im still to figure this out. The 'stage2' bit is a nice bit of extra carbon though :p

You won't go wrong with Carbonio, I have a few pieces on the Ferrari, excellent quality and the price isn't stupid either.

Ive had a few carbonio intakes on previous cars and can't fault the quality.
