Druggy mum and kid on a US bus?

I never mentioned walking away either, I mentioned trying to ask if she needed help, not that I'd leave her...

That's all I would expect from anyone :)
just to step in a temporary carer and make sure they were safe until professional help arrived.

It's the same in London, people step over people lying in the street, no one checks their airway or their eyes (not expecting proper first aid knowledge, just "is this person alive")

Although the guy filming this eventually contacted the bus driver, he'll still a complete ***** because he was clearly more interested in filmng this for the morbid amusement of others, instead of reassuring that child that an adult was there and she and her mother were going to be OK.

as said, the USA is a strange place. people have sued people for trying to save lives etc.

over here i would try and help, if nothing comfort the little girl until trained help arrived.

its often hard to tell what is affecting some people. could be medication issue (my wife was on some last year that made her very drowsy and she was like a smack head for a week or so.

i also remember chatting up a lass with narcolepsy at a party. she fell asleep mid chat, they woke up 2 hours later and continued the conversation. very odd.

It's not narcolepsy, she doesn't fall asleep and her eyes are wide open, why are people still banging on about this? A guy at work had this, bonk, asleep. Not nodding like a feeding duck.
I've never seen a person take heroin, but clearly some people have and I'd go with their informed opinion.

1) Is he is talking some fit or such its a shame but today peeps get accused of touching someone they help etc, like that security guard who put a plaster on a kids skint knee at shopping mall and the mother or mother sister cried Rape/Pedo or some BS (was posted in this very forum)

2) If she is a junkie she should not be out in public with a child under her supervision.

Too may experts here without knowing facts.

Well what about my informed opinion that I go exactly like that when my glucose levels are low?

My dad does this when his glucose levels are very low, that said I have also seen people like this on "Spice" aka Herbal Cannabis.

Feel for the little girl. 'Merica hang your heads in shame.

If I was in America id do the same.

No doubt the moment you did anything to try and help there'd be a court case all over your ass.

Blame the culture, not the people.

It does seem odd that no one inter... scratch that, it doesn't surprise me in the least. Modern society has individualised and compartmentalised our entire lives, nothing outside our own bubbles matters at all. Not even those ten feet from us.

I don't know what the outcome was, I only watch a minute or so of the video, but it could have been an OD, hypoglycaemia, stroke or any number of other things. It is shocking that nobody asked her if she was ok, and nobody asked the kid if either her or her mother were ok.
