Glorious ride out through the lanes of Cheshire yesterday. Warm enough for bib shorts, my Grand Départ top (Christmas pressie) and a gilet. Loads of other cyclists out on a sportive.

I can recommend the Seven Sisters ice cream farm near Knutsford as a perfect mid-ride stop.

Maybe we cycled past you at some point. We also stopped in Knutsford for some coffee and cake (I forgot the name of the place though unfortunately).

What glorious weather! 80 miles yesterday. Felt amazing to strip back on all the winter wear. Long may it continue.

Gets me even more excited for my second Majorca trip in June :D

Commuted today in short sleeve jersey and shorts, felt great.

Couldn't get out on the bike yesterday and the place I raced at on Saturday has its on weather so didn't get out in the sun unfortunately :(

Can't find the Gaggia Classic for less than £199. Google skills are failing me..

Tbh if you want it brand new then you'll have to be patient for that price - it tends to come up every few weeks. £200 isn't an awful price for new but if you wait it out it will definitely be cheaper at some point.

Check out ebay for the manufacturer refurbished ones. That's usually the best price point.

Insane wind on saturday up in Scotland. Helped out a bunch of crazies cycling Edinburgh-Glasgow (even though Glasgow-Edinburgh is always suggested as wind assisted) for some charity thing. The 50 mph gusts brought half of us to a stand still (or off the bike) numerous times. Could have smashed on ahead to finish with a few of the other road bikes but went with the majority (badly kept mountain bikes) and called it a day ~ 10 miles short for the sake of a few pints and the rugby. Quite jealous of all the nice weather everywhere else!

I don't usually ride that quick but was keen to get back before the rugby, I'm always happy for a more relaxed run!

Ah cool. Yeah, something more relaxed is more our style :) We have quite a range of riding ability in our group and you can bet that one of us will have some kind of injury at any point when we ride :p

Looking at your Strava, you stopped at Cha Bar http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restau...Bar_Knutsford-Knutsford_Cheshire_England.html

I'm not a stalker, I just live in Knutsford! :)

That's the place, yeah. Nice stalking...I mean..local knowledge :p

One of us ordered a rocky road from there as a snack but what arrived was a giant brick of rocky road. It took all three of us to finish it.

Pfft at the nice weather reports. Wanted to commute in this morning as the forecast was to be nice. Then checked again last night and it was for snow this morning :(

Right, any suggestions for cheap bike accessories, ideally available at Halfords (vouchers, yo) but not essential? I need the following:

- bottle cages, available in black
- mini pump to be frame mounted
- saddle bag

Ta!
