Going to be a bit of a ***** here so I apologize!
I've been watching these threads for the last 2 years and keep thinking about having a crack, so here's the question. Has anyone got any seeds to spare? The hotter and more manageable the strain the better. I haven't really grown anything since i lived at home and fancy having a stab at Chillies (The soil in my garden is aweful sadly so potted produce is the only option)
I really need to do something with my annuums. After yesterday's nice bit of sun one has hit the ceiling of the mini greenhouse and is bending over a bit..
Not quite warm enough to go outside yet..
e: just checked and 1.4c low last night.
I have seeds you can have. Email me via trust and let me know how many plants you want to grow and what you will want to do with any harvest. I can then determine which ones would suit you. I have a lot of seeds, but some are a little old and some others are a little hard to be 100% certain about identity - but beggars etc....![]()

Interesting.. Had a shuffle around this evening but I'll have a look at lopping the annuums down when they're a smidge bigger![]()
It is a classic case of a leggy chilli plant and the pruning can be beneficial here. I would try at least one of the two annuums, so you can compare. Do you know what type of annuum?
Your Aji's are doing better than mine, even your smallest is bigger than my biggest.
If they get better weather than the annuums (almost guaranteed) they will grow less leggy. AJi Limons are a great plants.
Coco coir compost is something I have used in tiny amounts, not really knowing what I was doing. It is fascinating stuff with a lot of potential, and appears to be sustainable (unlike peat based compost). I want to grow some of my chillies in coco coir this year and I discovered this video while looking for the one about pruning. I'm interested in the use of compost tea with the coir...

I've ordered some organic coco coir of the bay.
Coming along nicely. I'll let the bigger ones get a bit bigger before I start pinching out growing tips to encourage bushing. The smaller plants in the middle are sweet peppers I'm bringing on under the light for my neighbour - she's giving me a couple of them in return - a good deal as the light would be on anyway so it's not costing me anything![]()
yeah i'll definitely prune them, they are very leggy.
as far as i know theyre capsicum annuum, i "lost" the packet but im 99% sure thats what they are.
im quite lucky that the dining room window where they all are is south facing. but im rapidly running out of room indoors![]()
This shows the species guide, with a few examples of each species:

You could have anything, but looking through a list of capsicum annuums may jog your memory:
