Keyed my car extensively down one side across both doors and the rear quarter.

I took it to a guy who sprayed my brothers bumper cheap and he said it's bad but hasn't gone to the metal and would do it for £360 and would take a day.

Went to an accident repair center who were a lot more thorough with their quote going as far to replace name badges and another plastic strip so it looks perfect but as suspected their qoute was too. £850 and 3 days to do it.

I can't afford either at the moment and I'm not claiming on my insurance for it so was wondering if there is anything out there I could use to tidy it up a bit till I can get the money together for a respray?

You can certainly feel it with your nail and from what I have seen so far online I pretty much just have to leave it. :(

:mad::mad::mad:

Watch the clip from Pulp Fiction - Don't **** with another man's vehicle!

For a temporary patch up you could get one of those scratch pen/sticks to go over it.
It's like nail polish/clear coat and sure you can still see it but at least it gives some protection.

I have used it a few times before getting scratches and stone chips repaired and it only costs a fiver.

Cretins.

Was it done when out and about or at home?

At home and I have a feeling I know who it is but what can you do :) Needless to say it now lives in the garage unless i'm in it.

I was looking at those but there are so many I didn't wan't to rush out and get a crap one.

You could fill it, sand and spray with rattle cans. I'm on fixing some scratches/dents on my Clio at the minute and it's looking good.

Nah I'd screw it up and make it look far worse! I just wan't to touch it up a bit so I don't see it and feel sick till I can save up for it to be done properly.

Thats the way i'm looking at it, could have been windows or anything. Can't record the car as it's on a carpark at the side of the house (mid terrace)

It's not worth leaving it out for them to have another go and police are useless around here so not worth reporting either, Father inlaw said I really should report it and I told him it's pointless....He believed me 2 weeks later when his car got broken into and all the police did was give him a crime number over the phone and didn't even come out

Don't be ridiculous, it's always worth reporting a crime, even if it just adds to the statistic. It won't exactly take up much of your time and there's always a chance the cretin could be caught.

Properly annoying.

Why aren't you going through insurance? Is the car not worth it or do you have a crazy excess?

Hopefully this will be done to them when they're older and have the same sickening feeling everytime they look at their pride and joy.

My first car was just a Punto and the first night it was parked outside some bright spark cracked an egg on the side of it - left permanent pitting on the paintwork. Just because it was shiny they decided to ruin someone else's day.

Scratches like those are going to be a bugger to cover up yourself, and moreso because you'll be looking out for them even if other people don't notice. :-(
